LaLaLa: an art party

BSAR is co-hosting LaLaLa, an art party, with Toby Teitle. We are featuring the works of two renowned artists Kevin Sabo and Juan Arango Palacios. This show aims to create a scene that showcases the power of art in exploring queer fantasy, gender expression, and the lived experiences of marginalized queer identities.

La MaMa Galleria is honored to present "C to Kingston-Throop," an exhibition featuring the works of twelve accomplished alumni of Bed-Stuy Art Residency. These amazing artists have brought life into their craft through their dedicated work ethic and distinctive artistic voices. Each artist has a deeply rooted and personal connection to their work, which radiates an enriching authentic emotive power. Their narratives are informed by their individual journey through various life situations, speaking on their personal growth and their ability to navigate and contribute to the contemporary art landscape. The participating artists are esteemed alumni of the Bed Stuy Art Residency, based in Brooklyn, NY.

We're thrilled to announce our community partnership with The Other Art Fair. Bed Stuy Art Residency, in collaboration with Aliyah Bonnette, has curated a wall at the Brooklyn Navy Yard location. Showcasing the exceptional works of Aliyah, this showcase is a testament to her artistic journey and growth. Each piece resonates with the artist's personal narrative, reflecting their experiences and contributions to the contemporary art scene. This collaboration was a delightful opportunity to share Aliyah's talent with a wider audience, and we look forward to more such enriching experiences.
